Here we are, less than a week left in March, and yikes! the 'Books' section hasn't been covered this month. Maybe I could recommend a book. How about... oh, wait, I did that last time.I need something better, something...extra. I've got it!
Once upon a time, not too very long ago, a man from Liverpool, England told a story to a group of children. From a story came a book; from that book came a series. The Redwall Series by Brain Jacques (pronounced 'Jakes') to be precise. The stories of Redwall Abbey and mighty Salamandastron give rise to be warriors, otter queens, and badger lords to defeat vermin warlords, corsair captains, and emperors; and that's only the beginning of it. A total of twenty-two books in this books in the well written series, they are available through Sequoyah Regional Library System and at Amazon and Thriftbooks.

REAL Love
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.- 1 Corinthians 13:7&8
In today's culture these verses seem almost impossible, almost meaningless. Relationships crumble all around us. What God intended to last 'til death now "ends" in as little as a month. Just as bad,"love" has become an everyday, multipurpose word with hundreds of meanings. The label"sin" has been replaced with"love"in many cases. Everything, it seems, is good if done for the sake of "love".
But does this "love"endure? Does it hope in spite of the pain? Does it believe? Does it bear hardship over and over again? I'm not saying love should put up with certain sins if they are continuely repeated. But, but, it should last through storms of many different kinds.
We will be known as Jesus' followers by how we love (see John 13:34). Does the way we love show others our faith?
Maybe I should just grow up. Modern love, real love, isn't like that. I'm chasing a fantasy, a hopeless dream. My standards are set way too high. Or are they?
Define REAL love.
Is it the kind that makes me happy, fulfilling my every wish? Does it involve little besides candlelight ans bubbly feelings? Does it tint my world rose-colored? Is it the kind that comes on a whim and disappears with a major fight?
That doesn't sound real to me. Or is real love strong enough to face and last storm after destructive storm? Is it willing to submit to being spit upon and scorned, to be called foolish, old-fashion, and overprotective? Does it believe and last?Does it endure pain and even death?
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13
This is real love. This is how I want to love God, family, friends, and the world. This is the love Jesus meant. It's messy and very dirty. The world's"love"maybe easier to do, but REAL love is greater in the end.

The Dutch Waterfall Braid
It's been awhile, but I'm back with another braid! This one can be done on ANY hair length or hair type: short or long, thick or thin, straight or curly, and everything in between.
The Dutch Waterfall Braid
Instructions:
1-Brush your hair
2-Pick up a good size piece of hair and divide it into three sections
2-Pick up a good size piece of hair and divide it into three sections
3-Cross the top section over the middle one. You now have new top and middle sections
4-Cross the bottom section over the new middle
5-Repeat step 4
6-Now drop the bottom section and pick up a new section from your loose hair. This is your new bottom section
7-Cross the top section over the middle section
8-Cross your new bottom section over your new middle
9-Repeat steps 6-8 until your braid goes around to the other side or until your braid is at the back of your head. Then repeat the waterfall braid on the other side of your head and join the two braids together.
If you need help or want to suggest a hairstyle for me to post, just leave comment. Happy Hairstyling!
