The Compassion of the LORD ~ Isaiah Fifty-five

Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
come buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
Why do you spend your money on that
which is not bread,
and your labor for that does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is
good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
and I will make with you an
everlasting covenant,
my steadfast, sure love for David.
Behold, I made him a witness to the
peoples,
a leader and commander for the
peoples.
Behold, you shall call a nation that you
do not know,
and a nation that did not know you
shall run to you,
because of the LORD your God, and of
the Holy One of Israel,
for he has glorified you.

Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near;
let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his
thoughts;
let him return to the LORD, that he
may have compassion on him.
and to our God, for he will
abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your
thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
declares the LORD,
For as the heavens are higher than the
earth,
so are my ways higher than your
ways and my thoughts than your
thoughts.

For as the rain and the snow come
down from heaven
and do not return there but water
the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread
to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from
my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I
purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for
which I sent it.

For you shall go out in joy
and be lead forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap
their hands.
Instead of the thorns shall come up the
cypress;
instead of the brier shall come up
the myrtle;
and it shall make a name for the LORD,
an everlasting sign that shall not be
cut off.

Not the Cover Reveal

   Yes, I'm sorry to announce that I had to cancel the cover reveal. Inkling Adventures just needs more work, and I'm not ready to move forward with it yet. Thanks, Morgan, for being brave enough to tell me that. I really do appreciate that!
   Right now I'm praying and looking for an editor. If any of y'all have any experience in that area, I'd love to hear from you.
   Please don't be too disappointed about the cancellation. I still have something for y'all besides the bad news. The book blurb! Though it may go through some changes later, this is it for now.

As two are made one,
A new fate is begun.
The only child shall rise
And fight for Earth’s prize.

Ever dream of elves, wizards, and all that stuff being real? Well, have I got news for you! They are. Hi, I’m Priss Chancing, and this is my life. But it’s not all stars and songs. No, you have to remember, “all that stuff” includes evil stuff too.

This evil stuff usually comes in the form of the Rud Ones. They have the typical bad-guy agenda of destroying mankind, ruling the world, and blah, blah, blah. But I don’t care about that.

What I care about is getting my back what’s mine, and I don’t care what it takes. The Rud Ones have taken everything from me, and to get it back, I’m willing to go toe-to-toe with Zaltin the Black himself!

Join Priss on her journey of risks, secrets, pain, and faith.
To regain what she loves, she must be willing to face the darkness.
But when it seems all is lost to her, can she leave behind her bitterness
and walk in the light?
If she can’t, her life will never be healed and she will never be whole again.

Tauriel's Hairstyle

   Even though I don't view the whole Legolas-Tauriel-Kili thing as canon, I did like her in the Hobbit movies. She has an interesting role and awesome fighting abilities. So I decided to do her hairstyle.

   Like Arwen's Helm's Deep Hairstyle and Arwen's Flight to the Ford Hairstyle, this style is a bit complicated. If only all these styles were as easy as Galadriel's Waves or Legolas' LotR Style. *sigh*

Tauriel's Hairstyle

1- Brush hair and make a rough middle part.
2- Pick up a small section of hair from above the right temple and divide it into three pieces.
3- Cross the bottom piece over the middle piece. You now have a  new middle piece and a new bottom piece.
4- Cross the top piece over the new middle piece. You now have new top and bottom pieces.
5- Repeat step 3.
6- Add a small piece of free hair to the top piece, and then cross it over the middle piece. Once again, you have new top and bottom pieces.
7- Repeat steps 5&6 until you reach the crown of your head. Finish with a regular braid and temporarily secure it. You now have a lace braid.
8- Repeat steps 2-7 on the left side.
9- Ponytail the two braids together at the crown with a regular ponytail holder.
10- Pick up a small section of hair from behind the right ear and divide it in half. You now have two pieces.
11- Twist each piece  clockwise.
12- Wrap the piece around each other counterclockwise and secure with a small ponytail holder. You now have a rope braid.
13- Repeat steps 10-12 behind the left ear.
14- Pick up the ponytail made from the two lace braids and divide it into two halves.
15- Take a small piece of hair from the right half and cross it over to the left half.
16- Repeat from the left half to the right half.
17- Repeat steps 15&16 until the braid reach the point where you can add the rope braids. You now have a fishtail braid.
18- Without letting go of the fishtail braid, pick up the rope braids.
19- Ponytail everything together with a regular ponytail holder, and remove the ponytail holders from the rope braids if necessary.

   Well, there y'all have it. And as a bonus, here's a picture that sums up my thoughts on the Legolas-Tauriel-Kili triangle.

Moving Peace

   This past Wednesday I had a small foretaste of what is about to come.
   Moving.
   Wednesday I only moved rooms. Soon I'll move houses. I've accepted it. I've told myself that it will be an experience I can use for my writing. But when I'm alone, I must admit that a part of me shudders at the thought.
   Everything packed up and carted off. My life in upheaval. Leaving behind all I've known for almost eight years.

You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting
rock.
~ Isaiah 26: 3-4

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.                                                                                    ~ Jeremiah 29: 11

   My parents believe moving is God's will, His plan, for our family. I trust them, and I choose to trust God in this. Everything will work out for the best. I have peace about this. It's not perfect peace yet, but God and I are working on that.

   On a side note, the sign-up form for my book reveal isn't working. If y'all would be so kind, please leave a comment with all the required information. I promise that all comments of that type will not be published. And Faye, if you would be so nice as to do another post on your blog about this in case someone from your readers did sign-up, I would be most grateful.
